smart
is the youngest brand in the portfolio of DaimerChrysler AG and a
member of the Mercedes Car Group, alongside the brands of Mercedes-Benz
and Maybach.
The revolutionary smart for two was launched onto British roads
in October 2000 and since then the brand has gone from strength
to strength in the UK. The compact and curvaceous smart roadster
and roadster-coupe joined the model line up in 2003 and in 2004
the smart for four went on sale the first smart with four
seats and four doors.
The new smart for two, priced from £6,900 on the road, goes
on sale in Britain on 15 September.
The new car is even more comfortable, even more agile, even safer
and even more ecological than its predecessor. It retains its unmistakably
iconic looks: the striking tridion safety cell that is also one
of the main safety features and the innovative but practical plastic
body panels, are still an essential part of the car that has become
a familiar sight on British roads.
All the models in the smart range mix varying amounts of innovation
with functionality, topped with a liberal sprinkling of joie de
vivre.
