Park Farm Chiropody was established in 1987 and is the largest independent Chiropody/Podiatry Service provider in the city of Derby. It was extended and reopened in 2002 by the local M.P. Bob Laxton.

The practice is set in the leafy suburb of Allestree, North West of Derby and designed for full disabled access. As you enter the clinic you are faced with a relaxing waiting area and will meet our friendly receptionists. There are two modern clinics; the larger of the two can be used for minor podiatric surgery on patients. This includes Nail surgery, Cryosurgery, Ablation by Curettage, Electro Surgery and Excisions with closure. Both clinics are equipped to provide a full range of treatments.

New patients

30 minute appointment involving a thorough medical and personal detail check, blood pressure, initial treatment of foot problem and the formation a treatment plan.

Home Visits

This can be arranged, but is available only to patients who are genuinely housebound.

General treatments

Usually around a 30 minute appointment involving nail care, removal or corns/callus and further advice towards self care etc. This is the most common appointment.

Short Appointment

This is purely for nail care alone. The patients who have this type of appointment have non problematic feet/nails but simply cannot reach them. Half appointments are also used for dressings of ulcers, post surgery dressings and verrucae treatments from the 2nd appointment onwards.

Antibiotics

Due to their advanced qualifications they can prescribe Antibiotics where necessary.

General Information

Podiatrist/chiropodist assesses diagnoses and treats a range of problems of the foot and lower limb below the knee. Their specialist skills are used to treat minor infections/ailments, defects and injuries, as well as conditions and symptoms relating to other major health disorders e.g. diabetes. Podiatrists also provide preventative care and advice to patients and groups.
