A
charity serving disabled children and young people in East Anglia
has been granted major Lottery funding. Out and About helps disabled
children and young people get involved in leisure activities. It works
with leisure providers and provides assistance to 260 disabled children.
Steve Allman, the charity's chief executive, said that disabled
children were often perceived as being "different and difficult
to cater for" and stated that the funding would be used to
address this issue.
