Restricting the depth of discharge to 50% will help to achieve a longer service life.
A battery should never be left in a discharged condition
Before storing the battery a recharge should be carried out,at the end of the season.
Manual Testing Guide to battery voltages 12.7 = Fully Charged 12.4 =50% Charged.
A battery left in a low state of charge will take longer to charge and not regain is original capacity
Always recharge the battery to fully charged as soon as possible after use and store in a cool dry place in an upright position.
Fully automatic Chargers should be left attached to the battery and in float mode when the equipment is not in use.
